Welcome to the Ornament Swap Holiday 2013 Edition

The Remembering Together Ornament Swap is back for a fourth Holiday season to bring some light and love to what is literally the darkest time of the year. By participating in the swap, you will receive an ornament with your baby’s name, hand-made with love, from a fellow bereaved mother (or father or family.) You will also make an ornament honoring a lost child to send to another family. The swap sign-up form is right here.

The important dates for this years swap are as follows:
Sign-up deadline - November 15, 6 pm EST
Receiving swap assignments - November 18
Mailing deadline - December 3

The answers to questions you have about the swap may be found in the Swap FAQ. If not, please email the organizers at rememberingswaps@gmail.com and we will do our best to help you.

We hope that many of you will participate and make this year's swap an all around success.

-------

We know some of you have had poor outcomes from past swaps and did not receive an ornament to honor your precious child. We are so sorry that this has happened to anyone and have always done everything we could to try to rectify these situations. This year, the registration process will include a confirmation step to ensure that we have a reliable means of contacting swap participants. We hope this will help prevent problems this year.

Also we would like to request that anyone who has reason to believe that they will not be able to complete and ship an ornament to another parent, to not participate this year. As much as we would like to include everyone who has lost a child, it is very disappointing for the parents who do not receive their ornaments and demoralizing for the organizers who are attempting to make everything work out for everyone. We understand that unexpected things happen but we want to spend December reading emails about receiving beautiful ornaments, not sending emails hounding people to get their ornaments in the mail.
